COMPOST TEA BREWING KITS
We offer a range of brewer and supplies for those who want to make their own compost tea. Our kits are designed to provide all you need to make high-quality compost tea time after time. We include our specially formulated compost blend and nutrient mix with every brewer purchased. In addition, you can restock your supplies from our selection of quality ingredients.


WHAT MAKES QUALITY COMPOST TEA?

COMPOST - the foundation ingredient. Your tea will only be as good as the compost used to make it.

BREWER - must supply sufficient air to allow fast microbial growth without allowing the tea to go anaerobic. We are offering what we believe to be the best options for the money.

WATER - Although chlorinated city water will work if properly treated, we recommend clean well water or clean stream or pond water. A water test would be a good idea to ensure you will have a good water source.

NUTRIENT MIX - Use our custom blend to feed the organisms while the compost tea is being brewed.

SPRAYER - See our compost tea section.

CATALYST - These are foods added at the time of application. Choose the correct Catalyst based on the crop being treated. We provide several standard blends and offer to customize blends for specific needs.

TESTING - Test the tea periodically to make sure all these factors are working together. For every brewer purchase, we will do a free assessment on your tea and send you the results.

WHEN TO BUY A COMPOST TEA BREWER.
Buy a brewer if you are doing custom applications of compost tea as part of your landscape service or if you use compost tea repeatedly throughout the year and have labor available to make the product. Also buy a brewer if you are outside of the Maritimes or northern Maine since this is the range of our ready-made compost tea service.

WHEN NOT TO BUY A COMPOST TEA BREWER.
If you are new to using compost tea, it is best to buy it directly from us so we can work closely together and you don’t have to put out much time and money before you are comfortable with using it. If you are using compost tea once or twice per season on a large acreage and have limited help at that time, we recommend that you purchase the tea from us.

SAVE $$.
Quite a few growers and golf courses have purchased compost tea equipment. This brings a substantial savings in the cost of the compost tea and allows you to set your own application schedule. It also allows you to use the compost tea more often and gives you the potential to really save on fertilizer costs.
SCHEDULING
We have found that people who have gone from buying our ready-made tea to making their own tend to miss applications. This is very easy with all the things that come up, but you won’t get consistent results if you reduce the frequency. We would be glad to give you a call or send you an e-mail when it comes time to apply the next compost tea application. Just let us know.

  • 20 gallon sized brewer with instructions.
  • 15 gallon dispensing container with separate aeration pump.
  • Compost and nutrient mixes along with instructions required to make the compost tea.
  • POP poster to explain how customers will benefit from the product.
  • Instruction sheets to educate the customer on its use.
  • Neptune's Harvest Liquid Fish fertilizer with Kelp as an additive to be mixed with the compost tea at the time of application.
